Lemonade stand for charity
Last Summer, my cousin Austin was spending the summer with me and was bored. That's when he decided, along with his sister and cousins, to hold a lemonade stand for charity and raised over $500 for The Community Hospice.

On Friday, July 14th of this year they were at it again. This year, they raised funds for The Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center. Our goal was $250. We ended the day raising $591!!

The kids worked all week on this event and were outside selling lemonade and baked goods from 10am to 7pm!

I think the fact that these guys, ranging in age from 4 to 10 years wanted to spend part of their summer vacation giving back speaks volumes to their character and they definitely deserve to be recognized.

When Austin was interviewed by News Channel 10 about this he was asked "why he wanted to do this," He said, "because it's important to give back because if more people do stuff like that it will make our world a better place!"
